EPT’s rotating tiller Gearbox kit is designed as a configurable system with options to meet the needs of any manufacturer. Each kit comes in various styles while still being offered as a separate gearbox. Options include carburized alloy steel spur gears, different input, and output shaft options, and interchangeable right-angle drives. EPT’s RTS sidebox design eliminates the need for chain boxes and their maintenance. Each kit is designed with a corresponding bearing seat.
The RTD-70 is the second-largest rototiller kit designed by EPT. The RTD-70 consists of a top drive bevel gearbox with large pitch straight bevel gears for maximum impact load capacity. A sidecar is a gear drive unit with a large pitch spur gear. Sliding ring “double cone” type seals and integral deep form gearbox cover ensure long service life. The EPT wheel shaft is bolted to the side box for maximum strength and ease of maintenance. Options include a top drive side output shaft length and a flange output for mounting the stirring rod. All RTD70 kits include an outboard hub assembly.
